Drug-Free Drawing Contest
February is Drug-Free Awareness Month, and to coincide with that Zippy’s Restaurants is holding its Annual Drug-Free Drawing Contest!
Students from Kindergarten through 12th grade are eligible to enter to win some big prizes!
This year’s theme is “My Drug-Free Future” — Dream big, and imagine how your future will be when you live a drug-free lifestyle! Winners will be chosen based on the effectiveness of conveying the drug-free message, originality, artistic merit and overall impact.
The Grand Prize Winner will receive the following prizes: A family trip for four to a major theme park in Southern California; $200 cash prize; $300 in Zippy’s gift certificates; $50 Fisher Hawaii gift certificate; and be featured in a Keiki Menu for Zippy’s Restaurants.
There are also five grade category winners who each win a $25 Fisher Hawaii gift certificate, and a choice of one of the following: Nintendo DSi XL, Nintendo 3DSi, Sony PSP, or a $150 Toys ‘R Us gift card.
Finally, from March 19th — 26th, a selection of entries that were grade category winners and judge favorites will be voted online for the People’s Choice Award. The winner will receive an iPad2!
The contest officially begins February 1st, but you can pick-up an entry form with official rules and regulations at any Zippy’s location, or download one here! Last day to enter is February 29th.
• Students from Kindergarten to 12th grade are eligible to enter. Grade categories are: K-1, 2 – 3, 4 – 5, 6 – 8 & 9 – 12.
• Poster concept & design must be the original work of the student entering. Art work must be hand drawn. Computer generated images will not be accepted.
• Posters will be judged on effectiveness in conveying the drug-free message, originality, artistic merit and overall impact. Judges’ decisions are final.
• Entries may be picked up and turned in at any of our 25 Zippy’s locations.
• Entries become the property of Zippy’s Restaurants once they are submitted.
• Zippy’s Restaurants is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged entries.
• Must be a Hawaii resident.
• Contest runs from February 1 – 29, 2012.
• Grand Prize and Grade Category Winners will be selected on March 12, 2012.
• People’s Choice Award winner will be posted online on March 30, 2012. GRADE
CATEGORY PRIZES:
• Every student who turns in an entry will receive a 2 for 1 Mini Spaghetti coupon, provided by Zippy’s.
• Each grade category winner will receive a $25 gift certificate from Fisher Hawaii and the choice of one of the following prizes: $150 Toys R Us gift card, Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo DS iXL or a Sony PSP.
• The teacher of each Grade Category Winner will receive a $50 gift certificate from Fisher Hawaii.
PEPSI PEOPLE’S CHOICE AWARD:
• 2 of the judges’ favorite entries from each grade category as well as the grade category winners will be posted online at www.zippys.com for the People’s Choice Award from March 19, 8am through March 26, 5pm 2012.
• Only one vote per IP address (your computer’s network location) allowed per day. Any additional votes will be null and void for the total, and may lead to disqualification of the entry.
• In the event of a tie, a winner will be randomly selected.
• The winner of the People’s Choice Award will receive an iPad 2!
GRAND PRIZE:
• One Grand Prize winner will receive a Family trip for 4 (roundtrip airfare, 2 nights/3 days hotel accommodations) to Southern California with passes to a major theme park (valued at $2,500), $200 cash, $300 in Zippy’s gift certificates, Kumon 6-month scholarship in math and reading, $50 gift certificate from Fisher Hawaii and their drawing will be featured on a Zippy’s Keiki Menu.
• The teacher of the Grand Prize winner will receive a $100 gift certificate from Fisher Hawaii.
