Korean Army Stew
Dive into a hearty bowl of our Korean Army Stew, a beloved comfort dish that brings together the rich tapestry of history, culture and flavors of Korea. The stew includes SPAM®, kimchi and mushrooms all simmered in a rich, spicy, pork- and shrimp-based broth and topped with cheese. The dish originated in Korea in the post-war period when food was scarce. The people used whatever food they could find, adding these foods to their traditional stews to create what we now as budae jjigae, or Korean Army Stew.
